Hendrix adds assistant women’s coach
Hendrix College has added Kim Campbell as an assistant coach.
Campbell will join head lacrosse women’s coach Peri West and the yet to be named head field hockey coach for the Warriors’ 2013-14 season.
Campbell has spent the last two years as an assistant lacrosse coach at Eastern University in St. David’s, Pa. She was in charge of coaching goalkeepers and helped the coaching staff defensively. She helped the lacrosse Eagles to an appearance in the 2012 Freedom Conference Championship game. Campbell spent the 2012 season as an assistant field hockey coach at Eastern. The Eagles’ field hockey team won a fifth consecutive Freedom Conference title and a No. 15 national ranking. Eastern also reached the sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Campbell started her athletic career at Division I member Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the goalkeeper for the Blackbirds lacrosse team in 2006 and 2007 and set the school record for most saves in a game and a season. She transferred to Division III Eastern University in the fall of 2007 to play both field hockey and lacrosse.

finish fourth
RUSSELLVILLE — The Ruth Doyle Middle School seventh-grade girls finished fourth Wednesday at the Russellville Middle School Gale Relays.
Tierra Bonner finished first in the low hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles, while Abby Carter was first in the triple jump and second in the low hurdles. Ruth Doyle also finished in the 4x80- relay, seventh in the 4x400 relay, and third in the 4x100 relay.
