Mrs. Charles Heiligers was hostess to the Saturday Bridge Club at her home on Locust Avenue Saturday afternoon. The living room, where games of bridge were played, was beautifully decorated with vases of daffodils and other spring flowers. Mrs. J.H. Flanagin won the high score prize. Mrs. Heiligers served a dainty salad course with cake and tea, at the conclusion of the games.

D.W. Coffman, customer service representative for Arkansas Power & Light Company at Conway, has been chosen Little Rock Division salesman of the year for 1962.
Coffman was selected on the basis of his outstanding sales record and his record of good customer relations during last year.
Coffman joined AP&L in 1952 as an engineer in Russellville, after serving in the Navy. He moved to Conway as customer service representative in 1955. He is married to the former Johnnie Sue Simpson and they have three daughters.
He is one of seven division salesmen selected by division headquarters for outstanding saleswork in 1962.

Dr. Jerry B. Park, a Conway optometrist, recently was elected first vice president of the Southern Council of Optometrists at the organization’s 65th annual congress in Atlanta.
Park formerly served as secretary-treasurer and second and third vice president in the organization. He is a past president of the Arkansas Optometric Association.

The Vilonia boys cross country team checked out the new banner the seniors received for being the AAAA State Champions.
The Vilonia senior girls cross country team also received their banner for finishing second at the 2002 AAAA State Meet Wednesday afternoon. They received the honor during a ceremony at the Vilonia High School Cafeteria.
