Miss Constance Mitchell was hostess to the Howell Duplicate Bridge Club Saturday night at her home on Donaghey Avenue. The house was decorated with a variety of spring flowers, attractively placed. A delicious hot supper was served on small tables, each centered with a vase of jonquils. Games of bridge were played during the evening and high scores were made by Miss Mitchell and Opie Hartje.

Miss Mehettabelle Small, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.S. Small of Conway, became the bride of the Rev. Thomas H. Proctor, son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Proctor of Willis, Texas, at 3 p.m. Feb. 17 at the First Assembly of God Church in Conway.
The couple is at home at 414 1/2 East Magnolia St., Angleton, Texas.

Moix RV & Waterbed Warehouse will hold an open house Friday, Saturday and Sunday at its new facility at 1213 Collier Dr.
The business, owned by Frank and Mary Jane Moix, moved from a previous location on Highway 65B, where is was known as North Plaza Trailer Sales and Waterbed Warehouse.

Billie Carter and Jim Barrett received an award from the Kiwanis Club for firefighter of the year and officer of the year respectively. Carter was joined by his wife Salina Carter. Also present were Fire Chief Bart Castleberry, Greg Pillow, president of Kiwanis, and Police Chief Randall Aragon. Carter and Barrett each received a $100 check.
