Zeb and Chris Golden welcomed a new baby into the world early on Feb. 20. He was named Zayden Doyle Golden, with his great grandpa’s middle name, and everyone is doing well. I did get to see some pictures and he is adorable.
Philip Golden is coaching the middle school students on the archery team and the sixth grade team made the state tournament in March. Both Zane Golden and Kaylee Freeman are part of the sixth grade team so it looks like we will be traveling to Hot Springs to participate. I was quite surprised to learn that Kaylee had an interest in archery but she really is enjoying it.
The ladies are still meeting on Monday night to study the book of David with Beth Moore’s help and are having a good time. There is always plenty of food and plenty of laughter and I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community.
Remember to mark your calendars for the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department Annual Community Pancake Breakfast from 7-10 a.m. on March 9. Come on out and support our community!

My sweet little Landon was sick last week, he had pneumonia. Then his mom had the flu, but I think both are feeling better.
So many are sick with crazy flu bug and viruses, hope everyone is feeling better. Just glad that it has stayed away from mom. Sandy was sick with the stomach virus last week, but was better within 24 hours.
Eugene and Rose Glover from New Orleans and Louise Harlan from Heber Springs came to visit Montene Tarkington last Thursday.
Paige Bearden had a birthday party last Sunday turning the big 6 years old.
Darrel Bearden has been sick with the stomach virus too. Marcelle Jennings has been in the Conway Hospital too. Elfreda Acre and Damon Poole are both in the Greenbrier Rehab. Please say a prayer for everyone’s recovery.
Congratulations on the basketball teams that were playing in the District Tourney. You represented your school well. We have a great school and everyone should be proud.
Have a great week and send news to firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call or facebook me. Can’t put in local news if I don’t know it.
Please keep the family of JK Mode, Diane Remus, Keith Mode, Linda Thomas and Rosemary Cowan, in your thoughts as they have lost another one in their family. Ray Mode’s wife, Pauline of California, passed away and will be brought back here to bury in the Mode Cemetery today if weather is permitting.
