The Daughters of the American Revolution good citizenship medal was presented Wednesday at the high school chapel exercises to Betty Lou Allen, who had been selected by the school for that honor. Mrs. O.D. Smith, representing Littleton Johnston chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, made the presentation.
Miss Allen is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Allen, 1930 College Ave. She is a high school senior.

Ralph Behrens will review George Thompson Brown’s “Mission to Korea” in the third of the First Presbyterian Church’s current series of programs on missions Sunday night.
Behrens is professor of English at Arkansas State Teachers College, a veteran of World War II and a former student at English universities, one year as a Fulbright scholar.

Allena and Joy Brannon of Conway are parents of a daughter, Kathleen Joy, born Wednesday (Feb. 10, 1988) at Baptist Medical Center. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Grandparents are Loretta McKee of Conway and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brannon. The couple have three other children, Jennifer, 14, Laura, 12, and Brad, 7.

Jenna Dallas of Greenbrier recently earned an award for logging 100 hours in the American Quarter Horse Association Horseback Riding Program.
The program recognizes and rewards AQHA members for time spent with their American Quarter Horses in activities such as trail rides, working cattle, pleasure driving, and simply riding.
