GAP? ...How does it affect you?

On Feb. 19, the Faulkner County Extension Service welcomes you to attend an informative meeting on Good Agriculture Practices at the Faulkner County Natural Resource Building in the Tommy Lewis Conference Room at 110 South Amity in Conway.

Persons with disabilities requiring alternative means for communication of program information (large print, audiotapes, etc.) should contact the county Extension office as soon as possible at 501-329-8344 prior to the meeting.

The morning session, from 8:30 a.m. until noon is designed for the county agents and we will be discussing the following topics:

• GAP/Food Safety Act

• Why are we doing anything?

• How is this going to impact my producers?

The afternoon session from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. will be for the Producers and Farmers Markets. We will be discussing:

• The GAP/Food Safety Act

• Why are we doing anything?

• How will this impact my farm and market?

• The afternoon will end with a question and answer session.
