Vilonia girls win conference bowling tournament

LITTLE ROCK — The Vilonia High School girls bowling team won the 5A-4A West championship Wednesday in Little Rock.

The team rolled a pin total of 3,112 to finish ahead of Gentry (2,888). Ten schools competed in the tournament.

The Lady Eagles’ Brenna Allen captured individual medalist honors with a 572 series.

Other Vilonia bowlers who finished in the top 10 were: Sarah Montgomery, fourth, 476 series; Michael Farmer, eighth, 433 series; Natalie Oliver, ninth, 420 series.

Christian Farmer of the boys team bowled a 518 series to finish fourth overall in the boys division.

Both Vilonia and Greenbrier will compete in the 5A-4A state tournament Tuesday at Conway Family Bowl.
