Several members of the young Business Man’s Association visited the Y.B.M.A. of Clinton last night, in response to an invitation extended by the Clinton group. Dewey Davenport, president of the Clinton association, presided at the meeting and several matters of importance to the development of Clinton were discussed.
Members of the local Y.B.M.A. assisted the Clinton men in organizing their association some time ago, and the Conway guests at the Tuesday meeting were R.A. McNutt, Ted Hiegel, Vernon Tucker, Gabe Balmaz, R.B. Greer and Walter Scales.

St. Joseph won two of three games played with Mayflower teams at St. Joseph gymnasium Saturday night.
St. Joseph senior boys won 60-57 and the senior girls won 55-47. Mayflower’s junior boys defeated the St. Joseph juniors, 56-32.
Bobby Strack scored 20 points in the Bulldogs’ victory. Danny Young, of Mayflower, counted 30.
Karen Larson hit 15 of 15 free throw attempts in St. Joseph’s senior girls’ victory.

Mrs. Francis Denton was honored Jan. 3 at a surprise birthday party at her home in Greenbrier. Mrs. Denton is 79 years old. About 30 neighbors, friends and relatives attended the party, which was given by Mrs. Denton’s niece.

Ten students at the Conway Human Development Center received certificates for completion in special education. Parents, families and friends attended the graduation ceremony. Each graduate received a personalized gift from the Special Education Department.
The students were Kenny Mull, Daniel Ward, Phillip Gunter, Jerry Gossett, Brandon Young, Wesley Roberts, Bryan Welk, Kiley Rogers, Keith Summerville and Mitchell.
