Faulkner County received a respite from recent snowfall today, but not before snow accumulation reached 13 inches.

The 12 inches of snowfall that pelted the county in the 24-hour period ended at 7 a.m. today, set a one-day record for Conway. The National Weather Service does not keep records of official snowfall totals for Conway, but a snowfall of approximately 10 inches on Jan. 9, 1977, was the largest in recent memory, according to weather services officials.
