Police seek to identify alleged thief

Posted: December 20, 2012 - 8:23pm

Conway police are seeking the identity of a man who allegedly stole two ipads and a backpack from Walmart on Skyline Drive.

According to police, the man asked for two iPads in the store’s electronics section.

A clerk walked with the man and the iPads to the front of the store, police said, and gave them to another clerk.

As the clerk rang up the iPads and started ringing up the man’s groceries, the man asked if he could go exchange the backpack for another one.

Police said the subject placed the iPads into the backpack without the clerk’s knowledge and left the store.

The subject headed toward McAlister’s on foot, where he is believed to have gotten into a vehicle. A description of the vehicle was unavailable.

Anyone with information on the subject’s identification is asked to call Conway police at 501-450-6120.

CPD and the LCD
We have one story that people say happened weeks ago that is just being reported to LCD by police. But when something like this comes along the police want the public to help them. While the rest of the time CPD doesn't want to keep us informed or they got mad at the LCD for printing straight from the police report written by their illiterate cops.

More CPD double standards.

Afraid of its own citizens

CPD is afraid its citizens will learn about what really goes on in our town.

Oh you mean like the arrests

Oh you mean like the arrests made with no basis and the falsifying of police reports? Seen that happen a few times.

Or do you mean the fact that CPD in no way enforces any sort of weight standard on their officers (sorry, a 350lb cop doesn't make me feel safe, I never understood how the military can enforce weight standards, but local goverment can't, both paid by tax dollars...)

Or do you just simply mean that the majority of them are illiterate?

Or, hopefully, all of the above.

You dang sure know it's not me.

I'd LOVE to be that ripped. For real.

I'm experiencing muscle-envy.

I'm also surprised that Wal-Mart doesn't have a high-quality photo of the suspect. I'm guessing the camera was made in China.
