Mrs. F.J. Stokes was re-elected Sunday school and Christ ambassador president of the Arkansas district of the Assembly of God Church at the convention concluded in Russellville yesterday.

Margaret Lewis of Conway, a senior at Arkansas State Teachers College, has been elected president of Mu chapter of Phi Alpha theta, national history fraternity, and Sonny Dunn of Vilonia was elected secretary-treasurer.

Miss Ophelia Fisher, assistant professor of history and political science, is sponsor of the local chapter.

Caleb Walker, 5, captured a smile from classmate Ryan Nash, 5, as he lifted a rather large pumpkin yesterday in a pumpkin patch at the home of Jim and Lanelta Walker. Kindergarten students from Ellen Smith Elementary School visited the pumpkin patch on Acklin Gap Road and gathered several pumpkins to take back to school. Caleb is a son of the Walkers and Ryan is a son of Greg and Martha Nash of Conway.

Sudden Impact-Himmler Medical Clinic of Vilonia recently placed fifth in the ASA B Regional 16-and-uner softball tournament at Olive Branch, Miss. Team members are Alice Shipp, Paige Himmler, Ashley Thomason, Brandi Stocks, Phaylan Clements, Jessica Sanders, Monica Moltz, Taryn Middleton and Tiffan Keathley. Coaches are Gregg Clements, John Goodwin and Scott Ferguson.
