Church Briefs Oct. 12

New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 8 Taylor Circle, will celebrate their Mass Choir’s Eighth Appreciation Service at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. The Rev. Robert Thompson and Philadelphia Baptist Church of Menifee along with the praise team of Mt. Gale Baptist Church will be their special guests. This year’s theme is “It’s all about the Lord and not about me,” coming from Psalm 137:4. The Rev. William E. Forté Jr. is the host pastor. The public is invited.

The Bread of Heaven Ministry will be celebrating its pastor and wife, Bishop Jerry L. Bradden and Lady Yvonne Bradden’s anniversary at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. Bishop John Daniel of First Baptist Church in Hampton, Ark., will be the guest speaker.

The church is located at 317 St. Joseph Street in Morrilton. The public is invited.

Dr. Ben Alpert, a representative of Chosen People Ministries, will be speaking during the 6:30 p.m. worship service on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Central Baptist Church.

Family Life Bible Church, South Hogan Lane in Conway, will host a World Missions Conference, Oct. 19-21. The Friday night through Sunday morning conference will feature speakers David Sitton of To Every Tribe Ministries and Craig Miller of Thirst No More. The emphasis will be on unreached people groups.

Friday night session will begin at 6 p.m., with a casual dinner, followed by David Sitton.

Childcare will be provided for infant through third grade. Reservations for meal and childcare may be made by calling the church office at 501-327-7971.

Saturday morning sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon, with both David Sitton, Craig Miller and breakout sessions. Saturday night at 5:30, will offer two sessions with both Sitton and Miller speaking. Sunday morning will offer Craig Miller at the 9 service and 10 service with Sitton.

Pastor Derwin and Beverly Baker and the Trinity Worship Center Family invite the public to fellowship with them in a spirit filled experience of passionate prayer, praise and worship during “The Gathering of the Faithful” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. Special guest ministry will be the music ministry of Psalm 150. True Holiness Saints Center invites the public to attend its 19th annual Official Clergy Appreciation Service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.

Pastor Everett Cornell Maltbia founded and organized the True Holiness Saints Center Inc. and married his high school sweetheart, Natasha Nicole Pierce of Conway, in 1993. God has blessed them with two lovely children, Kennedy, 17, and Connor, 14.

Pastor Maltbia’s ministry far exceeds his service at True Holiness and within other religious affiliations. He currently serves as a member of the City of Conway’s Civil Service Commission, Chaplain for the Conway Police Department, the Conway Ministerial Alliance, The University of Central Arkansas’s Grievance Advisory Board, the Conway Regional Community Advisory Board, Conway Regional Hospital’s Board of Directors, and Commissioner for the State of Arkansas’s Martin Luther King Jr. Commission.
