Faulkner County Road Runner's Extension Homemaker's Club to hostess Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Program with Pancake Breakfast

GREENBRIER — Faulkner County Road Runner’s Extension Homemaker’s Club works with a variety of community members and organizations to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of living through continuing education, leadership development, and community service.

This Saturday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 11 a.m. a breakfast including hot pancakes, served with maple, sugar free, strawberry and/or blueberry syrups, Petit Jean Sausage, juice, coffee, milk and water will be held at the Greenbrier City Events Center, 5 Lois Lane.

Tickets may be pre-purchased from a club member or at the door the day of the event. Adult tickets are $5. Kids 12 years old and less are only $3; while all children under 3 years old eat free.

There will be an opportunity to meet and visit with EHC members about current projects underway, including Quilts of Valor for veterans and the Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention project which includes the Bra Art Extravaganza. Quilts and Bra Art examples will be on display.

Color educational brochures in both Spanish and English will be available on topics such as the Arkansas Department of Health Breast Care program that provides diagnostic and treatment services to those women that qualify instructions for self-breast exam, details about mammography, aging and increased risk, and healthy life style choices. Breakfast will be served in the meeting room on the second floor.
