Show your ride for Toys for Tots

Vilonia Car Club plans exhibition 8-2 p.m. Saturday.

Posted: September 20, 2012 - 8:26pm

Vilonia Car Club members invite people who like to “show off their ride” to participate in an exhibition from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Vilonia High School. The event benefits Toys for Tots.

“It can be any make or model, we really don’t care,” said Skip Cash, club member. “Anyone who wants to show off their ride can participate. There will be some trophies but really this is really about Toys for Tots. When we do these shows, we give back. This year, we will be taking toys up to Toy Hill in Little Rock.”

The entry fee for participating is $5 plus a new toy valued at not less than $5. The judging will be done by participants through a ballot system.

The public is invited.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, donuts and coffee will also be sold. There will be other booths with items for sale.

The Museum of Veterans and Military History in Vilonia, will be selling plaques and registering for the upcoming 5K Run-Walk to be held Nov. 10. Just down the street from the car show, the Museum of Veterans, at 13 S. College, will be open 9-4 p.m.

There is no charge for tours.

Giving Back?

Are all the monetary proceeds from the entry fees and food/item sales going to donated also?
