The VFW Auxiliary of Conway recently donated $50 to the North Faulkner County Extension Homemakers Council for their “Quilts of Valor.” Quilts of Valor are made under strict guidelines for American service personnel who have been injured on the battlefield. NFCEHC is excited about this new endeavor and looks forward to their first special presentation ceremony to be held the third Saturday in May 2013. At this time they expect to present a number of these quilts to qualified Faulkner County Veterans.
It you would like to help with this or any of their other projects call 679-2945 or 450-9595 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
NFCEHC has other projects for veterans as well as various other community service projects and educational endeavors.
Members of NFCEHC and the Roadrunners Extension Homemakers’ Club will be manning a booth at the Faulkner County Fair. You will be able to obtain information on this and other opportunities at their booth.
Although you do not have to be a member to participate in their activities, they always welcome new members.
