Military News Sept. 8

Zac T. Brown, a 2005 Conway High School honor graduate and 2010 University of Arkansas honor graduate recently, completed the U.S. Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Ill. Among several topics learned were Rank/Rate recognition, Military Customs and courtesies, Naval History and Weapons Familiarization which he earned “expert” in marksmanship.

Zac is now stationed in Dam Neck, Va., as a SN Third Class where he will attend “A” and “C” school for an additional 5-8 months of extensive training before becoming fleet ready.

Zac is the son of Charley and Tammy Brown of Conway.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Bruce A. Booth graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Booth is the son of Danny Booth of Conway.

He is a 2004 graduate of Vilonia High School.

Air Force Airman Alex G. Davis graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Davis is the son of Cheryl and Brett Davis of Conway.

He is a 2011 graduate of Conway High School.
