Central Baptist College will host an open house and dedication for its new administration building, the David T. Watkins Academic Building, at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, according to a news release.
College President Terry Kimbrow and Bro. David T. Watkins will attend.
The 38,000-square-foot academic and administrative building is the first project of 10 major construction projects the college plans to undertake to meet student needs. In fall 2011, CBC was the fastest growing college in Arkansas, according to the release.
The new building features 13 state-of-the-art classrooms, three conference rooms and administrative offices. The lecture hall features presentation screens and has more than 100 seats.
Plans for the expansion and renovation of the J.E. Cobb Library, including the architect drawings, will be unveiled at the event.
