You Have a Choice to Accept Jesus or Reject Him

I found out that Jesus doesn’t make anyone do anything they don’t want to do. He gives us the opportunity to choose who we want to serve. We can either serve Him or Satan, that’s your choice.

You have a choice to continue in your sins or reject them. You have a choice to tell a lie or tell the truth. You have a choice to be straight or be gay. You have a choice to believe God’s Word (Bible) or not believe. What I’m trying to say is that all through life we are going to choose to either do good or evil, to live righteous or unrighteous, to live for Christ or Satan. You have that choice.

Acts 16:30, the Philippians jailer asked Paul and Silas, “What Must I Do To Be Saved,” so they said to believe on Jesus Christ and you will be saved. You see, he had a choice to make, to believe in Jesus or not. He believes at that very moment He was saved.

John 8:3, there was a woman caught in committing adultery. The people wanted to stone her but Jesus stepped in and told them let he who has no sin cast the first stone. Then they all left and Jesus asked the woman: Where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you? Then He said “and neither do I, go and sin no more. She had the choice to continue in her life of adultery or come out of it. She chose to come out of that lifestyle. You have a choice to accept Jesus Christ into your life before you die. Or you have the choice to be separated from God through out eternity by not accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Did you know that God can’t save you without your permission? What I’m saying is that you have to invite Him into your heart, you have to want Him to save you. Now in order to be saved you have to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead then you will be saved. You have the choice to accept God’s eternal salvation or reject it. You have the choice to accept God’s love through Jesus Christ or reject it.

God loves you and He only wants the best for you. So choose God’s way of doing things. Read the Bible which is God’s word, go to church. Not just any church but a church that’s teaching the risen savior (Jesus). A church that’s teaching you how to live the way that God wants us to live, a church that’s teaching you right from wrong, a church that’s teaching you how to follow Jesus, our Lord and Savior. I found out why some people don’t go to church, and the reason is that they don’t want God to tell them what to do. They don’t want God to tell them how to live their lives.

Those who put his trust in Him, those who receive Him as their Lord and Savior, those who believe that He is the Son of God and those who believe that He died and rose from the grave, those are the ones He’s coming back for to take them home to be with Him.

Now those who never receive Him as their Lord and Savior and don’t believe that He is the Son of God and don’t believe in the death, burial and resurrection, those are the ones who will be standing and gazing into the sky wondering what’s happening but it will be too late. On Monday, there were many warnings given to alert the people of the coming tornado, but when Jesus comes back the Bible says that He will come like a thief in the night, 2 Peter 3:10. In other words, hear this, He will appear without warning. JESUS IS COMING BACK! Are you ready?

I want to conclude by saying God truly loves us and it doesn’t matter if you believe or trust in Him or not. His love is everlasting for each and every one of us. He waits with open arms to embrace us into His family. For those of you who don’t believe in Jesus, my God, my Lord and Savior, and think that He’s not real and believe that He is just a myth: I’m praying for you that God will change your hearts.

I know pride is the real reason you don’t believe in Jesus and I know some of you want to run your own life and have nothing to do with Jesus but the Bible warns us in Proverbs 16:18: Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. All I’m trying to say is some day we are going to face death and if you’ve never trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you will be facing death without hope.

My brothers and sisters, this life is not all there is. Your body will die but your soul will live on. One day we all will stand before Jesus and give an account of the way we lived. The Bible warns us in Hebrew 9:27, that man is destined to die once and after that face judgement. I’m not trying to put fear in your heart but just know that Jesus loves you. AMEN.
