Art in Architecture: Historic Structures of Conway is an annual project of the Faulkner County Historical Society and the Old Conway Preservation Society.

The Competition is part of the May observance of Arkansas Heritage Month and National Historic Preservation Month.

The exhibit comprises 60 drawings, paintings, and photographs from students in grades K-12, representing schools in Faulkner County, including The Art School, Conway Christian, St. Joseph, Greenbrier, Mount Vernon-Enola, Vilonia, Conway Public Schools, and Home School.

Nancy Mitchell coordinated the event.

Bryan Patrick, Director of Planning and Development, has put the artwork on the city’s Public Art website at www.conwaypublicart.com

He’s included a slide show of all the works.

“Now out of state grandmoms and granddads can see the artwork,” Patrick said.
