HOT SPRINGS - A 21-year-old student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy is the new Miss Arkansas.


Kristin Glover of Stuttgart won the title Saturday night during the annual pageant in Hot Springs. The Sentinel-Record reports Glover's talent presentation was a tap dance and a remix of the classic song "I Got Rhythm" was her talent presentation.


She also received the pageant's overall interview award. She competed as Miss Ouachita Baptist University.


Glover will receive a $20,000 scholarship and more than $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. She'll represent Arkansas during the annual Miss America pageant in Las Vegas.


She'll also make appearances across Arkansas promoting the Children's Miracle Network.


Lauren English of Hot Springs was the first runner-up. The second runner-up was Simone Mullinax of Fayetteville.
