The Log Cabin Democrat recently recognized Jackie Black, advertising special projects coordinator and national sales rep, as its employee of the year for 2010. Black has served in various roles at the Log Cabin Democrat over the last 12 years and continues to be instrumental in daily advertising and pre-press functions.
Advertising director Rhonda Overbey said, “Jackie Black is vital to the daily production of the Log Cabin. She holds a key position at the newspaper that is a perfect match for her personality, efficiency and work ethic. But beyond her position, working with her is a joy and we’re lucky to have Jackie on the Log Cabin team.”
She and her husband, Paul, reside in Greenbrier and attend the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene where Jackie teaches a Wednesday night Bible class to preschool children. Daughter Kristy Black resides in Conway, and Sabrina Black lives in Plumerville.
“Jackie is one of those employees we can always count on to do whatever needs done. She never shies away from learning new things and fills in wherever we need her,” Publisher Rick Fahr said. “The best part about Jackie’s attitude — she goes about every challenge with a smile on her face. We’re really, really lucky to have her on our team.”
