A call for Conway citizens to contribute food to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 25 needy families in the city, who were receiving no form of government or other relief and who would otherwise have no dinners, was made at a meeting of the local committee of the National Mobilization for Human Needs, held at the home of the chairman, Mrs. R. W. Robins. Contributions of groceries, fruit, meats or money with which to buy them, were requested, and citizens were asked to leave such donations at the store building at 1051 Front St., formerly occupied by Griffith grocer store.
