St. Joseph junior boys, girls down Pottsville

ATKINS — The St. Joseph junior boys and girls earned victories Wednesday in action at the Atkins Invitational.
Both wins came against Pottsville.
In the junior boys game, St. Joseph took a 47-34 victory. Andrew Beck led with 16 points and added six steals and five rebounds. Drew Bates finished with 12 points, while Cole Schichtl, Andrew Kordsmeier, Josh Antoine and Landon Enderlin all had four points each.
Kordsmeier added seven rebounds and five assists. Schichtl also chipped in five rebounds.
The Junior Lady Bulldogs took a 34-23 win.
Rachel Briggler led the way with 14 points, five rebounds and five steals. Morgan Kordsmeier had eight points, while Rachel Ross chipped in eight points and five rebounds.
St. Joe basketball
This group of junior boys plays well together. I have watched this group over the years and this could be a state title team in 2013.
