Obituary: Kevin E. McCarty

Kevin E. McCarty, 45, of Heber Springs, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Conway Regional Health Systems. He was born Nov. 4, 1964, in Dunedin, Fla. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia (Hammett) McCarty. 

Kevin attended the University Church of Christ. He was a finance and insurance manager for automobile dealers throughout the state. A lover of the Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

He is survived by his father, Gene McCarty and wife Mildred of Pine Bluff; his sister, Stephanie McCarty Anthony of McGhee; his brother, Dr. Christopher Scott McCarty of Fayetteville; his nephew, Zachary Anthony of McGhee; and his special friend, Sue Jackson of Greenbrier; as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, 327-7727.
