Obituary: Margaret Ann Justice

Margaret Ann Justice

Margaret Ann Hughes Justice, 70, of North Little Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009.

Mrs. Justice was born in England, Ark., on May 23, 1939, to the late T.J. and Virgie Hughes.

Mrs. Justice was married to her childhood sweetheart, Doyle Don Justice, for 54 wonderful years, before he died on Feb. 13, 2009.

She was 12 and he was 16 when they met.

Mrs. Justice had worked outside the home, but when her children were young her focus was on them, always taking a part in all their childhood activities.

This in turn, gave her daughters an example to follow as they raised their children. She had survived two types of cancer, but she could not get over a broken heart from losing her husband, but we know she is with him now.

She was very much loved and will be greatly missed until we can see her again.

Along with her daughters, she loved her sons-in-law a great deal as well. She was proud of all her grandchildren ranging from an NFL player to a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Justice was a member of Toltec Baptist Church.

Mrs. Justice is survived by two daughters, Deborah Kay and husband Dr. Mark Dixon of El Dorado, Ark., and Carrie Frances Hillis and husband Doug of Conway. Also surviving are sisters, Dorothy (Horace) Chilldres of Lonoke, LaVern (Tom) Clark of Nampa, Idaho, and Mary (Art) Kaufman of Lonoke. Mrs. Justice is also survived by six grandchildren, Kyle Hillis, Peyton Hillis, Hayley Margaret Hillis, 2nd Lt. Austin Justice Dixon, Katelyn Allison Dixon and Rachel Caroline Dixon; and one great-grandchild, Catalina Isabel Hillis.

Mrs. Justice’s funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in England, Ark., with visitation from 6-8 p.m. tonight.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kyle Hillis, Peyton Hillis, 2nd Lt. Austin Justice Dixon; and newphews, Ronnie Fields, Charles Chilldres and Larry Chilldres. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Katelyn Allison Dixon, Rachel Caroline Dixon and Hayley Margaret Hillis; and nephew, Pat Parnell.

Burial will be in Keo Cemetery at Keo, Ark. Wilson Funeral Home of England will be in charge of the services, with Jeff Harrison officiating.
