Ryan Barnes scored 35 points for Central Baptist College on Monday, and the Mustangs needed all of them.
The Mustangs defeated Williams Baptist 86-80 in overtime in their men’s season basketball opener.
Barnes hit 18 of 19 fouls shots. Other mustangs in double figures were junior Will Johnson with 12 and senior CJ McCoy with 11. Junior Michael Holder led the way for the rebounders pulling down 12.
CBC is back in action Saturday against Lyon College. Tipoff is 1 p.m. at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse.
