Obituary: Walter “Tiny” Kirkland Sr.

Walter “Tiny” Kirkland Sr., 69, of Greenbrier died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.  

Born in El Paso, Ark., on June 6, 1940, he was a son to the late Lilbum “Pete” and Vergie (Flowers) Kirkland. 

Kirkland owned his own trucking and construction business.

A brother, Glenn Kirkland preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Beatrice (Meeks) Kirkland; children Donna Neagle of Harker Heights, Texas, Patricia Hensley of Bee Branch, Walter Kirkland Jr. of Conway and Bobby Kirkland and Carolyn Finley both of Greenbrier; sister, Dianne Firestone of Vilonia and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Roller-McNutt funeral home in Conway.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. 

Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery with Walter Kirkland Jr., Bobby Kirkland, Jessie Rice, Cody Rice, Kirk Hensley and Richard Neagle II serving as pallbearers.
