Marguerite (Stoker) Ruple, 87, of Naylor, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Naylor, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Everett) Stoker.
Mrs. Ruple was also preceded in death by her husband, Alton F. Ruple; sisters, Armer Prowse, Iva Prowse, Belle Brantley and Ellen Keck; brothers, Arthur, Owen and Thomas Stoker.
She attended Sharon Freewill Baptist Church, the former Naylor Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She loved being outdoors, gardening and fishing.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Survivors are her son, Rayborn Ruple and wife Marilyn; daughter, Brenda Atkinson and husband Guy, all of Naylor; granddaughters, Kelley Lasley and husband Joey of Enola and Dana Pate and husband Bobby of Greenbrier; grandsons, Kevin Atkinson and wife Lisa and Shane Atkinson, all of Naylor; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, with Brother Mark Glover officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Naylor, with Gordon Dale Prowse, Ronnie Brantley, Goley Atkinson, Rick Fason, Bud Bostic and Dale Bostic serving as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers will be Kevin, Shane and Christopher Atkinson, Tyler Pate, Kyle Brewer and T.J. Atkinson, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, 327-7727.
