Two students from The Art School of Conway have received merit awards at the Blues Heritage Youth Art Competition. Students from across the southern U.S. submitted original art commemorating Arkansas’ blues tradition. Bailey Shadell also received an award for his work, “Come To the Big Music Show.” Both works will be on display at the Delta Cultural Center through the month of December, in conjunction with the Helena Blues Festival. Both students received cash awards for their winning entries. Pictured above is Bailey Shadell “Come to the Big Music Show.“ SUBMITTED PHOTOS
