Julia Muryl Hamling, 89, of Cabot passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. She was born Jan. 10, 1920 to the late Thadeus and Abbie (Sneed) Rogers in Little Rock. Julia worked as an executive secretary to the base commanders at Little Rock Air Force Base. She was the church secretary at Saint Jude’s Catholic Church, where she was a faithful member for many years. She was an avid Razorback fan and much of her office was decorated with Razorback memorabilia. “Ma,” as she was affectionately known, was a military wife who traveled the world with her beloved late husband, William. She was very creative and loved flowers. Ma gardened, canned and sewed many beautiful wedding dresses for her nieces. Ma enjoyed the time she spent with her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Julia leaves to cherish her memory her son Tim and his wife Carol of San Antonio, Texas; her son William T. of Denver, Colo.; her granddaughter Heather Milvihill and her husband Jeffrey; her great-grandchildren Ryan, Natalie and Sean and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly.
