Lifeword hosting reception for Reddin

The Lifeword staff invites the public to a reception honoring Bro. George Reddin for his 30-year anniversary with Lifeword. Reception is at 3 p.m. Thursday, at Lifeword, 611 Locust Avenue, Conway. 

Reddin lived in Bingen, Ashdown, and Sheridan as a child. He moved to Conway in 1954 when he was nine years old. His father, A.R. Reddin, was the president of Central Baptist College from 1954-1966. He has a Bachelors degree in Bible from Central Baptist College. He has further education from the BMA Seminary.

George came to Harvest Gleaner Hour (now known as Lifeword Media Ministries) Oct. 15, 1979 as the assistant director. He became the executive director of Harvest Gleaner January 1986. His father, A.R. Reddin, was the executive director in 1971-1972. Reddin’s duties as executive director include promotion, public relations, and framing the vision of Lifeword.

He married Jerene Burch Reddin in 1967. Jerene is a voice and piano teacher and is an assistant to the music minister at Antioch Baptist Church. They have two children: Joanna who is married to Wade Allen, they have two children Carly and Caleb; missionaries to the Philippines Sam is a ministerial student at Central Baptist College; works at Wilkinson’s.
