3rd District hopeful urges Americans to not pay health reform taxes.

Among reports recently generated by the Conway Police Department and Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office:

1. Motor vehicle theft at 234 block of Tilk Road, Conway (Weatherford Wellhead Systems). At some point Wednesday or Thursday someone stole a white 1996 Dodge Ram pickup belonging to the business.

2. Motor vehicle theft at 1265 Sturgis Road, Conway (Superior Overhead Door). At some point between 5 p.m. Tuesday and noon Saturday, someone stole a white 1995 Chevrolet pickup parked at the business.

3. Criminal trespass/criminal mischief at 233 Pumpkin Center Circle, (Riddle’s Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary, a few miles northeast of Guy). Deputies were told Sept. 19 that someone had on more than one occasion come onto a portion of the property by cutting a section of fence and had trespassed into an enclosure where an adult bull elephant is housed. The property owner called deputies again on Sept. 20 to report that a section of fence repaired the previous day had been cut again, and stressed to deputies that whoever was coming onto the property was putting themselves in extreme mortal danger.

4. Theft of property at 1600 block of Middle Road, Conway. Victim reported that at some point a few hours before 7 p.m. Wednesday a KAHR CW nine-millimeter handgun was stolen from a residence along with a 42-inch Sanyo LCD TV.

5. Commercial burglary at 1800 Hillman St., Conway (K-Life Ministries of Conway). Victim reported on Wednesday that the ministry had been burglarized July 27 and that a report of the incident needed to be made for insurance purposes. Among the items reported stolen were a Cannon Rebel XTi camera and Sigma 70-200 camera lens and an Apple Mini computer.

6. Residential burglary at 100 block of Niagra Falls, Conway. Victim reported that at some point between 5:30 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. Sunday someone entered a residence through unknown means and stole a 22-inch Zenith TV, Toshiba computer, Kodak digital camera and six wristwatches — two Breitlings, two Cartiers, a Gucci and a watch of unknown make with diamonds around the dial.

7. Residential burglary/criminal mischief at 10 block of Slatey Gap Road (a few miles north of Wooster). Victim reported Sept. 21 that he returned from a trip out-of-town to find that someone had splashed red paint across a log home that he was building, ruining an estimated $15,000 worth of natural logs. Victim also reported that a Top Con laser level, DeWalt air compressor and Hitachi nail gun were also stolen, and that the vandal or vandals had written the letters “HA” in red paint on one wall. The victim also advised that there had been an argument between himself and a couple of juvenile males he caught riding ATVs on his property.

8. Domestic battering at an undisclosed Conway location. A woman in her 30s reported on Thursday that her 12-year-old son had “punched her in the head and threw her to the ground and was trying to choke her,” according to the report, which also states that the woman reported that the boy had threatened to kill her and his siblings. The boy was arrested on suspicion of third-degree domestic battery.

9. Unattended deaths at Auburn Hills and South German Lane. On Wednesday a woman in her late 60s was found dead in her South German Lane residence and on Sept. 17 a woman in her late 40s was found dead in her Auburn Hills residence. Police and deputies found no reason to immediately suspect foul play.
