Thomas T. Horton, 90, of Conway, formerly of Marshall, Ark., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Conway Regional Health System. He was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Harriett, a son of the late Pearlie O. and Bertha (Watt) Horton.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Marshall; and an Army veteran of World War II; and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Horton attended Friendship Baptist Church in Conway.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Wenoka (Treat) Horton; children, Clara Nell Myatt and husband Daniel of Pearcy, Betty Horton McArthur and husband Foster of Richmond, Texas, and Tommy and Donnie Horton, both of Conway; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Letha Clinging of Marshall.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
A second visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, with funeral at 2 p.m.
Dr. Bill Brown and the Rev. Ken Jordan will officiate.
Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt and Coffman Funeral Homes. Pallbearers will be Billy Jean Horton, Perlie Charles Horton, Jimmie Horton, Johnny Wayne Horton, Larry Clingings and Ricky Lynn Horton. Honorary pallbearers will be James Myatt, Don Mallery, Steve Longing, Mark Williams, Kevin Hartman, Danny Loggins, Matt Lea, Tommy Robinson, John Hutchcraft, Theodore Massery, Bill West, Kenneth Henry and Jackie Lawrence.
