Chandler: Don’t let opportunity pass you by

God is good and His mercy endures forever. Jesus is Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit is our comforter. Good morning brothers and sisters.

This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen… Most of the time when I want to express myself about someone and make it plain about them, I do that most of the time when I am talking about Jesus our Lord and Savior. You see, He is the most important person that ever walked this earth. He is the only person born of a woman by the Holy Spirit. In fact, He is God Himself, the creator of the woman that conceived Him. Man, what a mighty God we serve! Jesus, Son of the Living God. Jesus, Alpha and Omega, beginning and ending. Jesus, our Provider. Jesus, our Healer. Jesus, my God my God.

Bless His wonderful name.

Brothers and sisters, don’t let the opportunity pass you by before you get to know Jesus! Jesus will make a difference in your life. Knowing and trusting Jesus will save your soul when you breathe your last breath. I know there are some of you who think you don’t need to know Jesus for anything. But let me tell you something, we NEED Jesus because He is life. It’s only by His grace and mercy that we are here today. So don’t tell me you don’t need Jesus. It is His grace that woke us up this morning.

He didn’t have to do it but He did. It’s His grace that puts us in our right mind. That’s why I ask you, don’t let the opportunity pass you by to get to know Jesus. Sometime I sit and wonder about those who have left this life and never made Jesus their Lord and Savior. They had the opportunity to make Him their Lord and Savior but they let the opportunity pass them by.

Now they are separated from Jesus the Almighty God. You see, I love bragging on Jesus because I know He loves us so much. There is no greater love than a man who lays down His life for his friend. He didn’t have to do it but He did. He did it because He loves us and wants us in Heaven with Him.

Some people don’t know this, but that was His purpose in life, to die and save us from our sins. Brothers and sisters, we all have a purpose in life. If you don’t know your purpose in life, ask God to reveal it to you. Please, don’t let the opportunity pass you by to get to know Jesus.

Give your life to Him, after all it was He who gave you life! Only Jesus can save you from that place called hell. Only Jesus can save the problems of the world and your problems also. In closing, believe He is God’s One and Only Son! Believe He died on the cross and was buried. Believe He got up in three days out of that grave. And believe He IS sitting at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven.

Let’s continue to pray for those in Houston, Texas, who have suffered a horrific loss from Hurricane Harvey and those affected by Hurricane Irma. Because we know God is good and He will provide. AMEN…
