Chandler: The coming of Jesus will be powerful

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 reads: “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, withe the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Hello everyone! God is good, Jesus is Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. Today I’m not going to take up too much of your time. But I want you to know that God is faithful and He loves us so much. He cares so much about us and what goes on in our life.

It doesn’t matter, it can be something good or something bad. He cares and He is able to help us get through our problems. After all, He is Almighty God and He knows everything and can solve all problems. But we must line up with His Word, in other words we must read His promises and believe and have faith in Him. Believe me, He knows the answer to all our problems. Amen.

The coming of the Lord will be a happy day for some and a sad day for others. When He comes back, everyone on the face of the earth will know it. In fact, everyone that’s dead will know also. Like I said, what a powerful day that will be when Jesus comes back!!! Sometimes I sit and think about all my loved ones who have died in Christ and gone on to be with the Lord, they will get up out of the grave and meet Jesus in the sky.

Man, what a day that’s going to be!!! In fact, they will see Him before I will. Brothers and sisters, you have to get it through your head, we are living in the last days. I’ve heard this saying since I was a little boy. My Grandma Chandler use to always tell me, “Marc, get ready because we are living in the last days.” But even though it hasn’t happened yet, I’m a grown man now and I still hear her voice: “we are living in the last days”.

Now I am able to tell someone the same thing she told me. Guess what, we ARE living in the last days! The only thing God was doing through her was preparing me to preach what He gave her to preach, so I can preach it to others. I know some of you don’t want to hear that “last day” stuff.

But it is something God has put on my heart to warn people that His Son, Jesus IS coming back! Sometimes I wonder what will people be doing when Jesus comes back. Will they be found doing His will or will they be found living foul. I don’t know, but God knows all things.

I do know one thing, we ARE living in the last days and Jesus IS about to come back! I pray that my grandchildren, as they grow older, will preach the same thing that my Grandmother Chandler preached to me and that is the coming of the Lord. Now, will you be ready for that great and powerful day of the coming of the Lord? If you are not ready, get ready! And I will see you in the sky.

Amen…
