Toad Suck Friends of NRA benefit set May 13

The 11th Annual Toad Suck Friends of NRA Benefit Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday May 13, at the Conway Howard Johnson Inn conference room, 1090 Skyline Drive.

Proceeds benefit Arkansas Youth & Women’s shooting sports programs, Eddie Eagle Firearm Safety, range development in Arkansas, law enforcement, conservation efforts, as well as supporting 2nd Amendment rights.

The event features a delicious meal catered by Fat Daddy’s Bar-B-Que, and coffee by Skyline Drive Starbucks. Featured are live and silent auctions, raffles and games for firearms, home decor items, historic and collectibles, outdoor equipment, jewelry, and goods and services from local merchants.

UCA’s Anderson SLC’s Student-Athlete of the Year

University of Central Arkansas junior volleyball player Samantha Anderson has been named the Southern Conference’s Student-Athlete of the Year, while senior Megan Nash earned First Team all-conference honors and sophomore Elizabeth Armstrong was named to the Second Team.
