CPD seeks forgery suspects

The Conway Police Department is asking for help to identify two women suspected of obtaining checking account information on a number of victims from Conway, Cabot, Searcy, Little Rock and Hot Springs.

“[The suspects] then forged checks on a closed account and deposited them into the victims’ accounts,” CPD spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said in a news release. “Once this was done, they receive cash back on the deposits leaving the victims at a loss once the checks are returned.”

Police said the suspects appear to drive an older model green Dodge Durango.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Fulbright at 501-450-6130 or text an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274-637) using the keyword “Conway” along with the information.
