Trek Bicycle Store in Conway is finally open.
The Little Rock chainwheel bike shop is the final business to fill Donaghey Hall on Donaghey Avenue across from the University of Central Arkansas.
The store held its first family-friendly bike ride June 8.
The ride, owner Patrick Barron said, was a true cruise with only a helmet and a rideable bike needed.
The group rode through top and onto the UCA campus and ended at Marble Slab for ice cream in Donaghey Hall.
“This is the kind of family night/activity bike shops often miss the mark on, but we are committed to making it part of our mission here,” Barron said in an email. “Families are always having to do so much to have any type of fun outing — this should help and our location makes it a snap.”
The business has other rides planned and can be viewed on its website at www.trekstoreconway.com.
According to the website, the business earns customer’s loyalty through highly educated staff, guaranteed service and by stocking the very best bikes and accessories from Trek, Bontrager and Electra.
“We love to ride and it shows,” the website stated. “Whether you are new to cycling or a veteran, come visit us to see our passion for all things cycling.”
The store — 501.499.6221 — is located in Suite 160 at 250 Donaghey Ave.
It is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday and is closed Monday.
