St. Joseph parishoners hosts El Kermes event

Hispanic parishioners from St. Joseph Church in Conway staged an event, El Kermes, with all kinds of different quisine on Sept. 30. Funds from the event went toward the church’s capital campaign for the current multi-purpose building project.

Hispanic parishioners from St. Joseph Church in Conway staged an event, El Kermes, on Sept. 30 where food and entertainment were provided throughout the day.

Mexican and Central American cuisine was served during the day while all kinds of different games and music were available for entertainment.

The evening was topped off by the crowning of a festival queen and a performance by the Little-Rock based Ballet Quetza.

Funds raised from the celebration went to the church’s capital campaign funding a multi-purpose building which is currently under construction.
