2 county offices win awards

Two Faulkner County offices were recognized for excellence during the 2017 Arkansas Digital Government Transformation Awards banquet.

Faulkner County Tax Collector Sherry Koonce’s office received the Citizen Service Award “for its work on INA Credit Card Readers used by more than 1,800 taxpayers [which] processed more than $307,000 in credit card tax collections [and a] 10 [percent] increase in delinquent real estate collection rate.”

Faulkner County Circuit Clerk Crystal Taylor’s office received four honorable mentions for 2017.

“We received two honorable mentions for reduction in paper through the use of Adobe Premium,” Taylor said. “We received two honorable mentions for implementing an accounting system for copies made in our land department. Both projects saved over $12,000.00 in 2017 alone.”
