• Tuesday — Faulkner County Democratic Party will hold its annual Donaghey Dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Ole Gin. Reservations are required by Wednesday. No tickets will be available at the door. Matt Campbell, creator of the “Blue Hog Report,” is the featured speaker. Democratic officeholders and candidates will be honored. Mary Acklin will receive the 2017 Marion Baker Lifetime of Service Award as presented by Betty Pickett. Live music will be provided by Fat Soul Band. • Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Decoration Day on May 20 with a potluck at noon. Donations are now being accepted for the upkeep of the cemetery as well. Mail donations to Brent Clay-Sec.Treas. P.O. Box 842, Greenbrier,Ar. 72058 or call 501-733-8626. To find the church, take Hwy 65N to Springhill, turn right on Hwy 287 and drive approximately 3 miles.

• Mt. Olive Cemetery, located on the corner of Rocky Point Road and Coker Road in Vilonia, is in need of volunteers. The historic cemetery dates back to the 1870s. Don Snow has been the caretaker for many years and has been mowing and doing general upkeep. He is asking for anyone who has interest in the cemetery to attend a meeting Saturday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at the cemetery to discuss future plans. Everyone is asked to attend and share thoughts and ideas for further upkeep of the cemetery. Call 501-329-5040 for more informaiton.

• The VW & Classy Classics car show from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Event has vendor spaces available. There are free outside booths for nonprofit organizations. The family friendly show will offer live entertainment, food, door prizes and great cars.
