Linen King moves into expanded facility

Linen King staff celebrates the grand opening of its new 60,000-square-foot facility with a ribbon-cutting Tuesday. The new location is at 1775 Whitten Road.

Linen King, a health care laundry company, recently opened a 60,000-square-foot facility in Conway.

The facility allows total employment to exceed 100, whereas the old facility on Exchange Avenue allowed for about 50.

“The move to the new facility is designed to process up to 30 million pounds of laundry annually and contains three automated Continuous Batch Washers, 21 dryers, computerized rail system for automatic loading, four ironing lines and multiple pieces of folding and infrastructure equipment,” CEO Leonard McCullough said.

The total investment in the new facility was $7.2 million, which includes all equipment, real estate and construction costs.

Along with the Conway facility, Linen King owns and operates six facilities in five states, including: Tulsa, Oklahoma; Midwest City, Oklahoma; Springdale, Arkansas; Columbia, Missouri; Wichita, Kansas; and Memphis, Tennessee.

Linen King was founded in 1999, and has become one of the regional leaders in health care laundry services.
