The defense in a conspiracy to commit rape case on Monday requested more time as it waits for an offer from prosecutors.
Jeremy B. Wade, 21, of Conway was arrested in March on suspicion of conspiring to commit rape.
Wade, who is represented by the James Law Firm, is currently free from the county jail on a $50,000 bond.
The defense asked for more time Monday before the judge decides to set a jury trial in the matter, noting it expected to receive a plea deal from prosecutors.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Wade first began chatting with undercover investigators in January 2016.
He made arrangements to meet with who he thought was an underage girl. However, the affidavit states he was met by Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
Wade is set to appear next in Faulkner County Circuit Court on March 23.
