St. Joseph High School seniors Georgia Dayer and Holly Detten, along with school counselor Teri Breeding, were among those attending the fifth annual Conway Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Luncheon Dec. 6 at the Centennial Valley Events Center.

With the help of Textbook Brokers Conway, a bookstore chain specializing in college textbooks, the chamber invited two students and a counselor from each Faulkner County high school to attend the luncheon, which celebrates women in the business community.

The students who are chosen to attend are active in school clubs or organizations and have a desire to go into business in some way.

Local businesswomen were honored with awards.

Terilyn Juarez Monroe, the senior vice-president of human resources for Acxiom, was the guest speaker for the event.

Students in attendance each received vouchers from Textbook Brokers to help them with their college fees next year.
