The Isaacs in Concert

The Isaacs will be in concert at Lonoke MBC, 5 miles north of Morrilton, on Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults 13 and over and may be purchasedat www.lonokemissionarybaptist.org and follow the link or call (501) 354-8616.

MLK Prayer Breakfast

The MLK Prayer Breakfast, is set Jan. 13 at the UCA Student Center Ballroom. Keynote speaker is Corey Oliver, Bob Courtway Middle School literacy teacher and UCA alumnus. Theme: “One People. One Nation. One Dream.” Although an RSVP is not necessary, it would help with food preparation to provide information on who will be in attendance. Please send informationvia email to diversity@uca.edu no later than Wednesday. As a reminder, the free breakfast bar will open at 8:15 a.m. and theofficial program will begin at 9 a.m.

Singing Club

The Faulkner County Singing Club invites the public to join for congregational singing at1:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 at LifeSong Baptist Church at 56 S. Broadview St. in Greenbrier. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas would ban food stamps from being used to purchase soda or junk food under a proposal endorsed by a legislative committee Tuesday, joining a list of Republican-led states hopeful the Trump administration will allow such restrictions to the federal program.
