Supper set for McGary colleagues

A spaghetti supper fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at the Brick Room at 1020 Front St.

The event will help raise funds to allow Conway Police officers to attend a trip to National Police Week in Washington, D.C. in May.

The family of William McGary will attend the week of May 12 to see the fallen Conway officer’s name added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The memorial — featuring two curving, 304-foot blue-gray marble walls — bears the names of more than 19,000 officers who have been killed in the line of duty since 1791.

The supper will also have a silent auction with items as varied as Razorback merchandise to jewelry and quilts. Musical entertainment will be provided by dueling pianos.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $14.74 for adults and $4.74 for children.
