Central Baptist College requested rezoning two residential properties southwest of the campus form R-2A residential to S1 institutional so the college can build a dormitory there.
A resident of the area, expressed concerns that CBC might expand further south across Bruce Street. CBC has been approached by some homeowners further south, a college representative said, and has bought some property there, but its “2020” plan does not include expansion beyond the block it occupies. The commission voted unanimously to approve the rezoning.
