Showers and thunderstorms are expected sporadically throughout the state from Friday through the middle of next week as an unsettled weather system moves through Arkansas, the National Weather Service said.
Meteorologist John Robinson said a large outbreak of severe weather is not expected, but isolated severe storms are possible through the weekend.
Chances of large hail or damaging winds in northwest Arkansas are possible late Friday evening.
Through the Saturday afternoon and evening hours, isolated severe storms are possible throughout the state, Robinson said. Damaging winds are more likely than hail in the storms.
Robinson said Sunday is expected to bring more of the same, but chances are supposed to be smaller than the previous day.
Rainfall amounts are expected to range between 1 and 3 inches through Wednesday. The western region of the state is expected to receive the largest amounts, Robinson said.
