Early voting under way in school board elections

Early voting for elections to positions on area school boards began Tuesday at locations around Faulkner County. Elections will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Candidates vying for positions, and early voting times and locations in their respective districts include:

• Mayflower Public School District, Position 1: Sherilee Holland, Stephen Fuller

• Mayflower Public School District, Position 5: Billy Stain, Jeff Duncan

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 today through Friday at Mayflower City Hall. Elections will also take place at Mayflower City Hall.

• Greenbrier Public School District, Position 4: Jeremy Riddle and Daryl Davis

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday at the Greenbrier City Events Center. Elections will also take place at the event center.

• Conway Public School District, Position 5: Elenore Damico, Adam Lamey

This position is an at-large position, meaning anyone in the Conway School District may vote in the election. Early voting is being held at the courthouse from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Monday. On election day, polling locations will be set up at the McGee Center and Don Owen Complex from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• Guy-Perkins Public Schools, Zone 4: Charlotte Beall, James Rooney

Early voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the school’s gym through Friday. Elections will also be held at the gym.

Faulkner County Clerk Melinda Reynolds added that residents of any district is invited to cast early votes at the Faulkner County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Monday.
