Linda Fullerton of Conway has received the Valiant Woman Award from the Faulkner County Unit of Church Women United.
A retired public school administrator, she was recognized for her work with the Leaders’ Council of CWU, women’s activities at Four Winds Church, and Delta Kappa
Gamma professional organization for women educators.
She has been active in leadership of the Broken China Jewelry Project benefiting the Women’s Shelter of Central Arkansas.
The pendants produced and sold by volunteers have raised $160,000 in the past three years.
Church Women United is an ecumenical movement involving Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and other Christian women in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Organized into local units, CWU works for peace and social justice from a Christian perspective while supporting dialogue with all faith groups.
